Svartalfheim

The realm of the dwarves, also called Nidavellir. A dark underground world where master craftsmen live and work. Here were forged the greatest treasures of the Norse gods: Mjölnir (Thor's hammer), Gungnir (Odin's spear), Draupnir (Odin's ring), Gleipnir (the chain that binds Fenrir), Skidbladnir (Freyr's ship), and Brisingamen (Freyja's necklace). In many interpretations, the dark elves and dwarves are the same beings.
