Alfheim

The realm of the Light Elves, given to Freyr as a tooth-gift when he cut his first tooth. A luminous and beautiful realm whose inhabitants are said to be brighter than the sun. The Light Elves are rarely described in detail in the Norse sources, but they are benevolent beings associated with light and nature. Alfheim stands in contrast to Svartalfheim, the dark realm below.
