Skuld

Skuld (Old Norse: Skuld, "what shall be") is the youngest of the three great Norns and represents the future — that which has not yet come to pass. It is Skuld who cuts the thread of life, determining the moment of each being's death. In some sources Skuld is also associated with the Valkyries. Her name is related to the concept of "debt" or "obligation" — that which must come to pass.
