Öndurguð Skaði
Skaði (Old Norse: Skaði) is the daughter of the giant Þjazi. After the gods killed Þjazi to rescue Idunn, Skaði came to Asgard in full armor to avenge her father. To make amends, the gods allowed her to choose a husband from among them — but only by looking at their feet. She chose what she believed were Baldur's beautiful feet, but they turned out to belong to Njord. The marriage between them failed as they could not agree where to live. Skaði is associated with skiing, mountains, winter, and hunting. Her name may be the origin of the word Scandinavia.
