Names & Heiti

Bragi
Bragi (Old Norse: Bragi) is the god of skaldic poetry. He is the son of Odin and husband of the goddess Idunn. Bragi is described as wise and eloquent, with a long beard. Runes are said to be carved on his tongue — the source of his poetic gift. In Valhalla he greets fallen warriors with welcoming verses. During Lokasenna he is the first to attempt to drive Loki away from the feast.
